参考:clause 6.2, 3GPP TS24.501
1. Procedure Transaction Identifier(PTI)
PTI: procedure transaction identifier用来指示message flow
标准位置:clause 11.2.3.1a, 3GPP ts24.007
用法:
(1) If a response message is sent as result of a received request message or a received command message, the sending entity shall include in the response message the PTI value received within the request message or within the command message
(2) If a command message is sent as result of a received request message, the sending entity shall include in the command message the PTI value received with the request message
(3) If a command message is not sent as result of a received request message, the sending entity shall include in the command message the PTI value set to “no procedure transaction identity assigned”
2. PDU session types
bits | type |
---|
001 | IPv4 |
010 | IPv6 |
011 | IPv4v6 |
100 | Unstructured |
101 | Ethernet |
111 | reserved |
All other values are unused and shall be interpreted as “IPv4v6”.
3. PDU session management
(1) The SMF is responsible for the session management functions to provide the PDU connectivity service to the UE via the SM signalling between UE and SMF.
(2) A UE may establish multiple PDU sessions, to the same data network or to different data networks, via 3GPP and via and Non-3GPP access networks at the same time.
4. IP address allocation
(1) IP address allocation to the UE shall be performed by SMF
(2) For IPv4 PDU session type, the UE shall obtain an IPv4 address via
- NAS signalling
- DHCPv4
(3) IP address allocation via NAS signalling
- The UE shall set the PDU session type IE in the PDU SESSION ESTABLISHMENT REQUEST message, based on its IP stack capabilities.
- If the UE wants to use DHCPv4 for IPv4 address assignment, it shall indicate that to the network within the Extended protocol configuration options IE in the PDU SESSION ESTABLISHMENT REQUEST.
5. Quality of service(QoS)
(1) Signalled QoS rules
The network can provide the UE with one or more signalled QoS rules associated with a PDU session at the PDU session establishment or at the PDU session modification.
(2) Each signalled QoS rule contains:
- an indication of whether the QoS rule is the default QoS rule
- QRI(QoS rule identifier)
- QFI(QoS flow identifier)
(3) Within a PDU session
- each signalled QoS rule has a unique QRI
- there is at least one signalled QoS rule
- one signalled QoS rule is the default QoS rule
- there can be zero, one or more signalled QoS rules associated with a given QFI
(4) Derived QoS rules
(5) QoS flow descriptions
