Android Studio中Toolbar必须用AppBarLayout包裹吗？

代码A来自项目建筑样本 https://github.com/android/architecture-samples，工具栏被 AppBarLayout 包裹。

我删除 AppBarLayout 并获得代码 B，代码 B 与代码 A 一样运行良好。

工具栏中不能有滚动效果。所以就用到了AppBarLayout，见下图，只用AppBarLayout就可以实现。
